Leiss Tool & Die was established in 1972 as a high quality precision tool and die shop and contract manufacturer specializing in Dies, Molds, Fixtures, Tools and builder of Specialty Machines. Over the years, as the needs of our customers have changed, so have our capabilities.

In 1978, we expanded our business by adding a fabrication shop which consisted of welding, medium to light structural fabrication, sheet metal fabrication and ASME pressure vessels.

By 1980, we expanded even further by acquiring several CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Machines. Combining these investments and highly skilled and dedicated employees, our company has achieved the high levels of specialization and capability.

Over the years, we have remained on the cutting edge of technology with continued investments in state of the art machinery and high levels of employee training. Currently, we have over 175 employees who combine the expertise gained from experience with knowledge of the latest technological advancements. The resulting mix represents a proficiency demonstrated in the quality of our work.

Leiss Tool & Die has been supplying machine shop, fabricating services and ASME pressure vessels to some of the nation’s largest corporations for over four decades. Our customer base is comprised of International Corporations, National Corporations and Local customers and individuals. The work can range anywhere from complicated machine building to medium production runs to highly engineered prototype work.

Leiss Tool & Die operates in Somerset, PA. Our manufacturing space is in excess of 150,000 square feet. Our facility is easily accessible from four (4) major highways including Route 281, Route 219, Route 30, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 110) Interstate 76 & 70, which is less than one (1) mile from our business location.
